The Design Engineer will need the ability to make engineering drawings, and read and interpret blueprints. The technical skills include the ability to make sketches and engineering drawings and have experience using computer applications related to the engineering field. Sketch outline designs and use computer-aided design for detailed design, generating parts lists and specifications. Consult with the marketing department about upgrading the product, failures in service and reducing the cost. Exercise moderate independent judgment with direction from supervisor. Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and consult with the development engineers about new products and the application of novel technology.
Requirements
2-4 years experience required. Experience using 3D modeling in Pro Engineer or Creo. Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability required. Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations. Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).
Education
Bachelor degree in engineering required
